Business, Corporate, Charter & Private Flight Operations
and the following aviation organizations:
NBAA   AOPA   FSF   NetJets,  FlexJet,  VistaJet and others

The University Aviation Association (UAA) and
the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI)
ensure that their high school, college & university flight programs
meet the highest academic, safety and operational standards
for the courses they offer.

Note to Self re $$$
Most 4-year colleges & universities that offer flight programs
urge their students to become FAA Certified Flight Instructors
(CFI’s) during their Junior year.

When CFIs complete their course, they can become
the ground and flight Instructors for the next class of students,
and be paid for BOTH: their flight and ground school instruction,
while building the flight time needed to qualify for even better paying jobs.

What you should know about
Flight Laboratories & PABC Tests

Picture4

Most Flight Labs look something like this,
with PC’s or tablets built-in to stations that students can used for research,
general studies and the school’s exams for each course you take.

The Labs are also used to conduct PABC Knowledge tests.

                • The tests are like the FAA’s Instrument and Commercial exams.
                • They contain 116 test questions.
                • Must be completed within 90 minutes.
                • Typically, you’ll only take one (1) PABC test each year.

PABC’s tests will cover the FAA’s 22 Aircrew Certification Standards (ACS)

Each Student’s Test Results:
Are PRIVATE and are only released to that individual.
Pilots CAN share their results with others, if they wish to do so.

If a school is testing more than 120 students per day:
It may take more than one day to announce the scores.
Scores will be released for everyone on the same day.

  • Program Managers receive a copy of PABC’s class average scores in each of the 22 topics, to show which subjects are best vs. least understood.
  • Scores are shown from right to left, with the BEST understood topics on the RIGHT side of the form, and the LEAST understood on the LEFT.
